Research Overview
Hydrogen Permeation
Hydrogen Embrittlement is an important problem plaguing the industry. We seek to combat that by understanding the fundamentals of hydrogen diffusion in metals studying them electrochemically.
Corrosion and Coatings
Corrosion - Our key expertise. We work on understanding surfaces and electrode-electrolyte interfaces. We study corrosion from a material perspective and provide coating solutions. We are actively working on corrosion prevention in fuel cell systems. From an industrial viewpoint, we also work on cyclic corrosion testing
Materials Electrochemistry
We work on the synthesis, testing and optimization of nanostructures for current electrochemical energy systems such as fuel cells and batteries.
